Lush & Hush

Part deli, part restaurant, Lush & Hush is a cosy neighbourhood spot in Notting Hill that doubles as both a place to eat and a place to shop. The room is small but nicely done up, with marble tabletops, a captivating leopard mural, and a laid-back vibe with friendly service. The focus here is on high-quality ingredients, many of which you'll see displayed and available for purchase in-store as well as on the menu.

The menu is all about Japanese A5 Wagyu beef, sourced directly from partner farms in Japan with full traceability, alongside a solid lineup of seafood plates. Dishes are kept fairly simple, designed to showcase the produce rather than overdress it, with options ranging from small plates and oysters shucked to order to katsu sandos and seafood dishes. You can also choose your ingredients from the deli and have them cooked to order as you like.

Drinks-wise, coffee is taken seriously, with Lush & Hush's own Panama blend available to drink in or buy, alongside a concise wine selection. Prices for the produce are competitive, roughly in line with good supermarkets, making the deli side well worth a browse before dining at the restaurant. Regular events and tastings add a bit of fun, but at its core, this is a place built around excellent quality meat and seafood.
