Unfortunately, we would like to express our great disappointment with yesterday's Christmas buffet, including service. We have previously had a tradition to visit Sjömagasinet's Christmas buffet with a few years' break to try other restaurants and looked forward to coming back and having the same nice experience as before. Initially, no one received us and noticed that mulled wine was served on the outside, we only discovered this at dessert. When asked for drinks, beer and a glass of white were ordered, the waiter asked if Chablis was doing well, surprised we answered yes, strange not to get a wine list and choose. That we now discover on our receipt that a glass of wine cost 325 SEK, completely outrageous! The food was tasteless throughout, there was a lot of traditional Christmas food missing, such as lutefisk, ribs, shrimp omelet, risalamalta with juice sauce, saffron buns etc. Finally, we had to go into the closet ourselves and pick up our outerwear, very strange that the closet is completely unmanned. Sjömagasinet is committed to maintaining a high standard and class, unfortunately we are extremely dissatisfied and this evening was anything but worth the price, 1195 SEK, coffee is not included and a bottle of water, 25 ml costs 45 SEK. It should be added that we presented our thoughts to Sjömagasinet and their response was a lot of defense, our experience or the very expensive wine means nothing. Sad but if it continues like this, a very nice and well-known restaurant will probably go to the grave...
