I was invited for a birthday dinner and had high hopes since the restaurant had received good reviews. The evening started fine with very attentative staff all through. However, my (and one of the hosts) Spaghetti Vongole was a disaster. It swam in oil and was too salty and peppery. There was an abundance of Vongole - so many that my plate was overloaded with shells. It was really sad since I was invited and did not want to make much a fuss. My host did point out our views to the staff and we were offered another dish. Since it would take too long and also ruin the ambience we kept the food but did not finish it. I wonder were the chef learnt how to cook an Italian pasta dish!
