Cozy atmosphere in the restaurant, very good food, lovely music, and friendly waiter. But unfortunately, Magazzino receives the worst rating based on the owner's behavior towards me and my partner. Rude, stressed, talking nonsense about other restaurants across the street, and a very unpleasant attitude/tone. If you are a couple looking for very good food from a cozy restaurant but at the same time want to experience the feeling of a rude restaurant owner who makes you want to get rid of the meal you just enjoyed; welcome to Magazzino.
The overall experience was unfortunately ruined because the owner became rude and stressed when we were about to leave the restaurant. We didn't want to leave the restaurant, but unfortunately, we could not stay as other guests were to enjoy the good food at our table. In barely 90 minutes, we managed to have drinks, some appetizers, and main courses, but unfortunately no dessert as the owner asked us to leave the restaurant because other guests were supposed to have our table right away. We did not receive any warning that we could only sit for a maximum of 90 minutes. Of course, we understand that the food should be enjoyed by more than just us, but the way one speaks to their guests and then throws them out of the restaurant is very much criticized at Magazzino. We apologized and started to wrap things up, without any objections. But barely a minute later, the owner returned even more stressed than before and threw my coat, which was on my chair, aside without apologizing or asking me to move the coat because he needed the chair for another guest. When we later wanted to thank him for the visit and the very good food at the exit, I wanted to point out that he should be a little careful with guests' belongings, as there may be fragile things that perhaps shouldn't be thrown around. I also conveyed that it wasn't our intention to sit "too long," but that he didn't need to have a condescending tone towards us. Instead of accepting the criticism that made us react to an otherwise super nice visit and good food, the owner began to throw out numerous condescending remarks such as: who do you think you are, do you think you can come here and tell me how I should be, you have absolutely no idea how to behave in a restaurant especially when you hang your coat on the chair, what you are saying is not true at all!
The food is very good, but unfortunately, we cannot recommend Magazzino because of how the owner behaved towards us.
