As the name suggests, Brasso is a brasserie. But not just any brasserie - here they've created an honest and timeless meeting place serving good food with no frills or flounces. Well-loved classics take centre stage here, but they're not afraid to try something unusual and different.
With years of experience behind them, restaurateur duo Maxan Ylijärvi and Björn Tagesson opened up Brasso on Östra Larmgatan in the heart of central Gothenburg. Brasso is decorated in classic brasserie style, with white-tiled walls, round tables, wicker chairs and paintings, as well as unexpected elements such as figurines, a white-painted brick wall, light pink bar and colourful artworks.
Brasso aims to create a meeting place for Gothenburgers and visitors alike. Come by for a glass of wine or something to eat in good company. The menu is a classic brasserie menu with starters, main courses and desserts, but you'll also find grilled dishes, innovative elements and smaller snacks and sides. Grilled meat with various accompaniments is always on the menu, as are vegetarian alternatives. Naturally, oysters and bubbles are always on offer. Simple, good food made from good-quality ingredients and an exciting drinks list are the name of the game at Brasso.
Open from afternoon until late evening during the weekdays, on Saturdays they also serve a classic brasserie-style Saturday lunch.
