They swap out some of the classic accompaniments though and brunchify the menu a little, making it ideal for Saturday afternoons, after a big night out or just to kickstart the weekend. 

Round off the week at this stylish bistro at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel. They lay out an extensive brunch buffet every weekend with everything from pancakes and croissants to juices and salads. The restaurant is handily located a short walk from Drottningtorget and the central train station.

You don't need to be staying at Jacy'z to eat brunch at this glamorous city resort. Get stuck into an American buffet with everything from bagels to oysters at the hotel restaurant Archie's, before ordering your choice of main choice. Combine with a milkshake, cocktail or perhaps a glass of bubbles. 

At the Hard Rock Cafe on Avenyn you can eat and drink in an iconic environment filled with rock and roll souvenirs such as electric guitars and stage costumes. Round off the week with a hamburger, milkshake and other American classics. There's also a shuffleboard area if you want to combine your brunch with an activity.

If you're pining for the continent, don't miss brunch at Wolfgang Vincafé. The decor and menu are both inspired by the wine cafés of France. Brunchoteket offers a colourful brunch with plenty of vegetarian options every day. The à la carte menu includes avocado sandwiches, French toast with toppings and smoothie bowls. Why not treat yourself to a brunch mimosa? During the summer months you can eat brunch al fresco on Brunchoteket's large outdoor area with views over Linnégatan.

Lifestyle restaurant Coco Orangerie in Linné serves classic brunch favourites such as Eggs Benedict, avocado on toast, pancakes and bowls. The brunch menu consists of medium-sized dishes that are ideal for sharing with your table but you can also order a whole brunch package with selected dishes.

Joe Farelli's is an Italian-American dream. It feels like a classic diner and serves fluffy pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit and sweet treats - everything a brunch fan could dream of. All this and more in a central location right in the middle of Avenyn.

Walking into this popular breakfast and brunch café is a little like travelling back in time. The decor oozes Fifties American vibes and fluffy pancakes, bagels and crispy bacon are the order of the day. During the summer months you can sit outside and watch the cyclists and laid-back Linné locals go by.

Cheri-Lee on Avenyn serves both food and cocktails with Asian influences. On the weekend, you can treat yourself to brunch with a variety of dishes from different parts of Asia. The atmosphere and the art-filled dining room make for a complete experience.
