In the spring of 2019, the popular food truck JINX Food Truck was joined by a fully-fledged, albeit small, restaurant on Victoriagården in the middle of Gothenburg. The venue is a 39 square metre hole-in-the-wall wrapped in green tiles and decorated with simple, stylish wooden furniture. From one wall, a neon-lit panda looks out over the wall-mounted tables and there's a food hatch open opposite the entrance, filling the air with the aroma of piping hot street food.
The menu includes steamed bao buns, skewers, sandwiches and small dishes such as fries and dumplings, all with accompaniments such as sauces, fresh coriander and pickled vegetables.
The restaurant is drop-in, so sit down at one of the tables, or outside in the charming courtyard if the weather permits. It has plenty of seating and gives you an excellent vantage point over the courtyard's many fashion boutiques and the many food- and fashion-hungry passersby.
