Kebaberia Vasagatan

Kebaberia, previously Kebab & Grill House, or as it's affectionately known "Kebaben", has been one of Avenyn's most popular after-party hangouts for more than 20 years. After extensive renovations, Kebaberia opened under a new name in the winter of 2019. The menu has also been updated, but the food is made with the same passion as before and the generous opening hours remain.

The concept is to serve Turkish food in familiar surroundings, without compromising on the fast service the restaurant's known for. Whether you come by for a filling, tasty lunch, or you're one of the night owls who like to round off your night out with a proper kebab platter, Kebaberia is the obvious choice. The father and son owners Necat and Suleyman Yuksel want to introduce their guests to even more Turkish cuisine and as well as classics such as kebabs and falafel, the menu includes small dishes, from which guests can pick and choose to create a delicious and varied meze meal.

– We've broadened our horizons to take even more inspiration from our own food culture and the food we eat at home, says Necat.

Vegetables and special spice blends play a central role in Kebaberia's kitchen and there are plenty of options for people who prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan food. Everything in the kitchen is prepared on-site, including the bread. Both thin pita breads and the fluffier Turkish flatbreads are baked in Kebaberia's baking ovens.

The restaurant's pared-back style, with turquoise-tiled walls and wooden details, give it an urban feel that ensures Kebaberia is as much a modern restaurant during the day as the lively post-party hangout it becomes during the small hours of the weekend.
