This is exactly how I imagine a classic hotel bar. Had it not been for the slightly outdated décor, had instead been full pot of me. When it was new, and the bar like so, was this really The Place to be! This started the Gothenburg cocktail culture, and if you want really good service, great drinks and a loungig bar experience, then Avalon still one of the city's absolute top-bars.
The atmosphere is elegant, bite-flirtatious and that place is located in the ground floor with large Windows parties against the King's square, makes it even better. During the summer I like to hang here for a long, luxurious vinlunch in the Sun.
