Hosted at Tate Modern, the exhibition is organised in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston and features more than 130 works by the acclaimed artist. In addition to her paintings, documents, photos, and memorabilia from Kahlo's archives will also be on display, as well as works by other artists she has inspired through the decades.

Chronicling the story of one of the most fearless and celebrated artists of the 20th century, “Frida: The Making of an Icon” showcases the many facets of her life, from dedicated wife to intellectual and activist.

The exhibition launches on 25 June 2026 and closes on 4 January 2027. We'll keep you posted with ticket prices and booking links once they're confirmed.
