Bread Ahead has officially opened its doors at Battersea Power Station, and they're kicking things off with festive Build-a-Pie baking sessions, offering walk-in fun for families in the lead-up to Christmas.
The Build-a-Pie sessions cost just £15, and guests can roll up their sleeves and make six mince pies in just 15 minutes. Fill pastry cases, top them with a perfect lid, and bake them to perfection—all while soaking up the festive atmosphere before taking them away to enjoy at home. No booking is required—walk in and join a session whenever you fancy. Baking times are every hour from 11am to 3pm, every day.
For those looking to sharpen their skills even more, Bread Ahead is also offering two-hour evening Mince Pie Workshops priced at £30 per person. This class dives deeper into the art of mince pie making with expert guidance and a box of six beautifully crafted pies to take home. Booking in advance is required for this one.
Bread Ahead's new Battersea bakery offers much more than just mince pies. Children can also enjoy Matthew Jones' Magical Mince Pies Corner, a cosy space filled with festive stories and baking inspo. Visitors can also warm up with a coffee, hot chocolate, or one of Bread Ahead's tasty signature treats (those doughnuts!). To top it all off, the friendly Bread Ahead team are dressed as festive elves, adding a sprinkle of festive cheer to every visit.
