The prestigious Michelin Guide has revealed the recipients of this year's coveted Michelin stars in Great Britain & Ireland, and London once again bagged a nice haul.
A Michelin star sits at the very top of the gastronomic pecking order, with chefs holding their breath for a verdict that might finally reward years of graft and precision, diners quietly rooting for their favourite neighbourhood tables to get the nod they've long felt was overdue, established Michelin-starred restaurants hoping to cling on or even level up, and city officials looking ahead to a possible bump in food-loving visitors. Put simply, despite accusations of being out of touch or lagging behind contemporary dining trends, when the Michelin Guide speaks, the entire culinary ecosystem still puts its fork down and listens.
The 2026 Michelin Guide Awards were hosted at the Convention Centre in Dublin on 9 February, marking the first time the awards ceremony was held in Ireland. It was again a good Michelin Awards season for London, with the capital receiving a new batch of one-star restaurants, including only the second London gastropub to join the hallowed ranks, as well as a couple two-star promotions. This is welcome news especially in the light of several Michelin-starred restaurants closing in London over the past year, as well as one (Humo) losing its star as of the latest edition of the Michelin Guide. No new restaurant received a third star, but all the current three-starred restaurants in Great Britain and Ireland retained their accolades.
Here are all the newly minted Michelin starred-restaurants in London.
