Ever wondered what music feels like without sound? Or what a car park rave curated by your emotions might look like? The Barbican's latest adventure is here to show you. From the rattling screech of the tube to the hum of outside traffic, sound is all around us at all times. Now, the Barbican is prompting you to think about things in a slightly different way. 'Feel the Sound' isn't just about listening, it's about experiencing sound with your entire body.

The new exhibition spans eleven multi-sensory installations, taking over the entire Barbican Centre, from the grand entrance on Silk Street to the open-air Lakeside Terrace, and even the underground car park.

Highlights include the opportunity to sing with a digital quantum choir, as well as Boiler Room bringing its signature club vibes with a collaboration that celebrates alternative nightlife culture. There's also Joyride, an installation that combines the aesthetics of 'boy racer' subculture with the spirit of DIY music communities. And there's Nexus Studios, which will debut a piece that combines neuroscience and design to track and visualise your emotional responses to music in real time.

This isn't just an art show; it's a sensory deep dive into how we perceive, interact with, and embody sound – a chance to reconnect with the sonic world around you, and within you.

The exhibition runs until 31 August, with tickets available to purchase here.
