If you're heading to Wimbledon and looking for something lovely to eat that isn't a soggy sandwich or an overpriced tub of strawberries, allow us to point you towards The Black Lamb, a neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Wimbledon Village, and an absolute must during tournament season.
This year, they're serving up a limited-edition Wimbledon set menu (£58pp) throughout the championships, and they've even shifted lunch service to start at 11am so you can fuel up before hitting Centre Court. The menu is a seasonal celebration of British produce in classic Gladwin Brothers style; think hyper-local and thoughtfully sourced.

You'll kick things off with snacks like a mushroom Marmite éclair (one of their signature dishes) or broad bean hummus with pickled chillies, before moving on to dishes like confit chalk stream trout with elderflower and cucumber, or a courgette flower stuffed with goat's cheese and almond praline. Finish with the “Wombles of Wimbledon” dessert: Sussex strawberries and cream jelly, in true Wimbledon fashion.

To drink, there's an optional wine pairing or the star of the show: the 'Over The Net' cocktail. It's a fresh mix of Hayman's gin, Sussex honey, lime, mint, and Nutbourne sparkling wine (from the Gladwin family's own vineyard).
You can catch the special Wimbledon menu at The Black Lamb from now until 13 July. Find them on High Street in Wimbledon Village.
