Tennis mecca
If you manage to get one of the highly desirable tickets in presale, congratulations, the doors to tennis heaven are open – enter and watch all the action at the historic grounds in person. If you don't have a ticket, it's the famous Queue for you. Wimbledon is one of the few major sports events where you can buy premium tickets on the day, and for some, the Queue is as much a part of the experience as the tennis itself, with its own rules and regulations.

A big screen and deckchairs are set up on Wimbledon Piazza, and refreshments are available from the various dining and drinking outlets in the neighbourhood. There's no queueing to get in, either.

FAQ
What is Wimbledon?
Wimbledon, officially known as The Championships, is the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world, having been held at the All England Club in London since 1877. It is the only Grand Slam event still played on traditional grass courts and enforces a strict all-white dress code for all participating competitors. The two-week tournament takes place annually in late June and early July, culminating in high-stakes singles and doubles finals that attract a global audience.
Where is Wimbledon held?
The Wimbledon tennis tournament is held at The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, which is a district situated in South West London.
How can I get tickets to Wimbledon?
The primary method for securing face-value tickets is entering the official public ballot online, which runs around September for the following year's tournament. Alternatively, hopeful spectators can join the famous on-the-day Queue at Wimbledon Park each morning to purchase a limited allocation of daily Show Court tickets or Ground Passes. For guaranteed advance entry, fans can also purchase premium hospitality packages or debenture tickets through authorised providers.
