Reinvigorating the Islington pub scene, The Tamil Prince took over the pub formerly known as The Cuckoo and turned it into a modern pub that showcases South Asian cuisine. The folks behind The Tamil Prince trained at the famed Roti King and have put together a concise menu of flavourful dishes such as onion bhaji, butter chicken masala and crispy roti, to widespread acclaim from both locals and critics.

    Amazing Indian food, but what really sets it a step above is the ambiance. Beware, the lively, welcoming pub atmosphere will have you staying, eating, and drinking more than you might have planned. The house cocktail is really great as well.

    Incredible new opening in Islington, part pub part Indian small plates heaven. The rotis are on point, as are the curries and pretty much everything else we tried (which was most of the menu). Especially recommended The Prince cocktail!
