Il Bambini Club

29 September 2025

Arriving in London by way of France, Il Bambini Club reimagines the classic Italian trattoria through an unabashedly extravagant lens, swapping rustic charm for a splash of Versailles grandeur. Think sumptuous fabrics, glittering chandeliers, and ornate flourishes at every turn, with a menu that matches the theatrical setting. Expect freshly rolled pasta, wood-fired pizzas, towering desserts, and fine Italian wines, all accompanied by late-night cocktails and regular live music.

Lagana

15 September 2025

Once known as Pachamama East, the space has been reborn as Lagana, still under the same ownership but now channelling a distinctly Mediterranean spirit. The menu leans into Greek flavours with inventive touches, with the star attraction being the namesake lagana – puffy, oven-fresh flatbreads paired with an array of tempting dips. True to its predecessor's reputation, the cocktails remain a standout feature.

Legado

28 August 2025

Legado is the shiny new sibling from Michelin-starred Nieves Barragán Mohacho (of Sabor), serving up a proper dive into Spain's best bits, like smoky whole-animal roasts, fresh Galician seafood, and traditional tapas. The space is cool, with an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs work their magic, a soaring double-height dining room soaked in natural sunlight, plus a separate bar with a terrace and a deli for picking up your Spanish staples.

Singburi

19 June 2025

Singburi is the family-run Thai spot that's earned cult status for its delicious, no-fuss Thai food, which was famously tricky to book – no website, sporadic phone line, and queues out the door. Now under fresh family stewardship, Singburi has taken things up a notch with a roomy new Shoreditch spot that keeps all the bits you love, just with a little more space.

Dumbo

13 June 2025

Dumbo has made its way over from Paris to Shoreditch, bringing its cult classic burgers with it. There are no fancy frills here, just perfectly cooked burgers, served with the crispiest hand-cut fries, and homemade nuggets, all made from responsibly sourced, local ingredients. With its hole-in-the-wall vibe, it's the perfect spot to grab a burger and head to one of the nearby parks for lunch, East London style.

Osteria Angelina

20 May 2025

This little gem originally earned acclaim with its Italo-Japanese tasting menus, and now its Shoreditch sibling brings a more laid-back vibe. Think fresh pasta and grilled classics, all with those signature wafu touches, plus a seriously impressive list of over 300 Italian wines. The space is stylish and spacious, with an open kitchen and outdoor seating to soak up the Shoreditch buzz.

Bad Manners

11 May 2025

After gaining acclaim at St John at Hackney Churchyard, Bad Manners have set up shop at Shoreditch Church, serving up Mexican-inspired street food from a humble little hut. The menu is chock full of favourites like crispy pork belly tacos with crying tiger sauce, crispy pork belly to beef barbacoa, and more. There are only a handful of outdoor tables, and weekends get busy fast, so arrive early or risk missing out.

One Club Row

9 April 2025

One Club Row, set above The Knave of Clubs in a Grade II-listed building, channels New York City glitz and glamour with Shoreditch's edgy vibe. The menu spans exquisite dishes like tuna crudo alongside hearty mains such as bone-in ribeye with chipotle hollandaise. A live pianist keeps the mood romantic, and upstairs, the former flats have been transformed into private dining rooms for something a little more exclusive.

Tatar Bunar

5 April 2025

Tatar Bunar is the Shoreditch spot putting Southern Ukrainian food on the map, run by two Ukrainians serving up tasty, homemade dishes. The space is decorated with cool Carpathian crafts, and there's a sunny courtyard perfect for dining alfresco. The focus is on family recipes here, from hearty borscht to crispy chicken Kyiv.

081 Pizzeria

4 April 2025

081 Pizzeria has quickly made its mark in Shoreditch since opening on Great Eastern Street. Making a name for itself with its 72-hour fermented dough and top-quality Italian ingredients, the restaurant serves Neapolitan pizzas, including the tuna-topped 'Tunarella' and the meatball and ricotta stuffed crust. Alongside the pizzas, you'll also find Neapolitan small plates and a cracking little list of Italian wines and cocktails.

Kricket

4 March 2025

Kricket opened its Shoreditch spot earlier this year, taking over a former Victorian dispensary with pastel-pink walls, high ceilings, and a vibey log fire. The modern Indian favourite, founded by Rik Campbell and Will Bowlby, serves up signature small plates (don't skip the Keralan chicken or samphire pakoras) alongside their first breakfast menu featuring Indian-inspired morning dishes like Andhra-spiced kedgeree and a masala chai-infused Full English. There's also an all-day kafé and bar serving street food snacks, cocktails, and natural wines until midnight, plus a Sunday roast with a tandoori twist.
