Ilford PDSA Animal Cemetery

In Ilford you'll find something surprising – the Ilford PDSA Animal Cemetery. About 3,000 animals have been laid to rest here. It's no longer used for burials but remains a historical site and is open to visitors. A number of the animals here are commended as heroic, including Punch the dog, who took down a terrorist, and Mary the pigeon, who delivered vital communications during World War II.
