Chef Alexis Gauthier shocked the fine dining world by announcing that his French restaurant in Soho, Gauthier Soho, would become entirely plant-based. This change now means that vegans can enjoy a French fine dining experience but meat-eaters aren’t excluded – drawing on Gauthier’s 25 years of gastronomic experience, the tasting menus are suitable for everyone and designed to change the expectations of both fine dining and plant-based cuisine.

Gauthier Soho offers a brand new and groundbreaking experience for vegan diners and fine food lovers, specialising in seasonal, ethical food and modern French cooking. Two different tasting menus are offered – the main tasting menu is available every evening with a reduced menu served in the early evening. Expect multiple courses of tasty and creative fine food with a strong focus on vegetables.

Menus change seasonally and wine pairings for every course and seasonal aperitifs are also available. The wine list changes regularly and has a focus on France, with wines available by the glass and bottle. Classic cocktails are also served.

Diners can sample the tasting menus in Gauthier Soho’s townhouse restaurant, which retains its original features. The crisp and clean dining area is spread across three floors, with multiple spaces available for private dining. The themed rooms create atmosphere and can accommodate the smallest gatherings up to large groups. It’s also possible to privately hire the entire restaurant, accommodating up to 50 guests.
