Boulebar

A touch of the Riviera

You may associate boules with Mediterranean summers but it's also a great game to play over the Christmas holidays. Since Boulebar opened in Malmö we've been able to enjoy the French national sport all year round. Beginners and keen amateurs of all ages can play boules, eat French delicacies and toast each other in Pastis (or soft drinks!) in the light, airy premises on Drottningtorget.

Big Bowl

Challenge your family to bowling

Children of all ages enjoy bowling and, best of all, everyone can take part. Malmö's bowling institution Big Bowl has special bowling balls for younger players and lane bumpers to stop the balls ending up in the gutter. Perfect for beginners, in other words. Take your whole family along and challenge each other to a match (or several). You can also eat julbord here.

Funplays

Fun and games

This activity centre, formerly known as Busfabriken, offers lots of fun holiday activities for both young and older children. The aim is to get children and young people moving through play and fun. With slides, trampolines, ball pits, climbing frames, and other activities, there's something for all ages.

Hylliebadet

Water park for all ages

Small and large kids have a splashing time at Hylliebadet with water slides, hot tubs and other watery fun. During the school holidays the pool organises various activities for children and teenagers. Check out their website for an up-to-date programme of activities over the Christmas break.

Klättercentret

Climbing the walls

Klättercentret organises Christmas holiday camps for children and young people where, under the guidance of experienced instructors, you learn to climb in a playful and challengingl way. Between the climbing sessions, there are games, activities and other fun exercises. The camp is adapted to the level of the participants and suits complete novices as well as Spider-Men.

Jump

Might as well jump

At Jump there are masses of activities for anyone who enjoys jumping and bouncing. The centre has various kinds of trampolines, a "wall run", a Ninja course, dodgeball and a sea of foam cushions to play in. There's also a café where both children and adults can take a break and have a coffee or something to eat. Jump is open every day of the holidays, apart from Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

Folkets Park

Enchanting experience

Until 27th February you can visit Vinterdröm (A Winter Dream) in Folkets Park. A fairytale world with enchanted winter gardens, fairytale figures and an art walk. They also put on activities such as ice skating discos and skating classes, and you can borrow skates. Celebrate the festive season in safe outdoor surroundings.

Culture

Fun cultural activities during the Christmas holidays

Moderna Museet

For families interested in art and culture, Moderna Museet is an obvious destination, but almost anyone will enjoy a visit to this striking art museum. Have a coffee or lunch in the bright orange café area, visit the current exhibition or take part in one of their many workshops for children. The school holiday programme is updated on the museum's website.

Malmö museum

From prehistory exhibitions to exotic reptiles
