In the vaulted cellars of Malmö's historic city hall, chefs serve a traditional, classic julbord at lunch and dinner. Dishes include all the favourites, such as prinskorv chipolatas, salmon, salads and Christmas ham, followed by glögg mulled wine and coffee.

Årstiderna cherishes the community and joy of Christmas with a classic julbord consisting of traditional Swedish dishes. The servings are as follows:  Mulled wine mingling with snacks, pickled herring and fish, cold cuts, hot dishes and finally desserts and sweet treats. Everything you could want when it comes to a Christmas buffet, in other words. They also offer vegetarian options if you prefer.

Tuck into the delicious flavours of the season surrounded by vaulted brick walls, candlelight and atmospheric music at Sankt Markus Vinkällare. There's a pickled herring table, hot dishes, desserts, cheese buffet and more, and they offer vegan alternatives. On Sundays, Father Christmas and Mother Christmas pay a visit and hand out presents to small guests.

At Lokal 17, comedian Tomas Kaminski hosts a Christmas show filled with humour and festive magic. The Christmas food includes several servings at the table featuring classic dishes to be shared. An exclusive evening that embodies both tradition and celebration is promised.

Clarion Hotel continues to celebrate Christmas with a theme, and this year it's all about Eurovision. It will be an evening filled with catchy tunes, joy, and music led by the quartet Schlagerfeber. There will of course be food as well: under the leadership of Franz Ziegerer, head chef at Malmö Live, a menu has been created that showcases the flavours of Christmas in a glittering sharing style. A fun alternative for those who want a Christmas meal beyond the ordinary.

Glasklart offers a glittering musical julbord with hits, one-hit wonders, pop nostalgia, disco, rock classics and summer favourites in a wonderful mix. Artists Sara Lauinger, Robin Ulvenstål Blomgren och Julia Ingvarsson will perform, accompanied by Glasklart's house band, with songs we all know and can sing along to. Enjoy an entire evening of Christmas food and entertainment, which continues throughout the night with a DJ and dance floor.

With views over Limhamn's waters, you can enjoy a Christmas buffet that features both classic and modern dishes. Kajuteriet's julbord includes everything from pickled herring and Christmas ham to saffron-marinated mussels and lobster soup, as well as cheeses and desserts. If you prefer a festive brunch, you should come here on a Sunday in December, when they'll be serving both sweet and savoury Christmas dishes.

Luftkastellet invites you to this year's edition of the Rock 'N' Roll Xmas Party, hosted by Simon Andersson, Linda Varg and magician Jacob Schenström . Together, the trio presents a show filled with music and laughter. They'll also be serving a Skåne-style Christmas buffet, offering traditional flavours but with a modern twist. After the show, there will be an after-party with a DJ.

At O'Learys Entré, the Christmas buffet is just as fun as it is tasty. It includes 55 minutes of bowling – perfect if you want to ease off that food coma with some moderately intense movement. Food-wise, as well as the classics there's a whole section with vegetarian and vegan Christmas dishes on the buffet.

This year, Slagthuset isn't just hosting a Christmas buffet show, you can also choose between various shows with live bands. The evening starts with a glögg mingle and a well-filled Christmas buffet, and concludes with an afterparty set to music by a DJ.

To celebrate the season, Kasai lays out a luxurious, sustainable julbord, complete with one of the city's best views. All food is served direct from the kitchen to the table and consists of five courses with Japanese flavours to be shared by the whole table.

Combining a Christmas buffet with a moderately strenuous activity is never a bad idea. Big Bowl on Östra Förstadsgatan serve up a festive dining experience, combined with an hour's bowling, billiards, dart or shuffleboard. As well as the classics, there's a whole vegetarian and vegan section, and on Wednesday to Saturday there's also a smoking expert on hand carving up freshly-smoked meat.
