Magnolia is such a nice decent Asian food place to have lunch at. Located next to Mariatorget on a quiet street makes it perfect to sit out if its sunny. Inside is not too big and quite calm, making it a cozy place to be when its cold or rainy out.

Their tofu and portabello bao’s were absolutely delicious, perfectly soft and not too overloaded with food.

The winner for me is their mirin marinated fresh Atlantic lax salad with a good mix of flavors from mirin, ginger wakame, seaweed salad, pickled beets, wasabi mayo and has the right amount of both softness and crunchiness.

This was our first time going here and I’m giving it 3 stars due to beautiful location, locally sourced ingredients and attentive staff.

I have to admit I had higher expectations from seeing previous reviews and the higher price tag, but sadly their food (for me at least) did not live up to standards.

Overall I was hoping for more depth in flavors and better presentation but both the starter (stenbitsrom) and salad (sallad från Skilleby) ended up being very bland and leaving much to be desired.

I would go back for a drink since the location is quite special, but not for food.
