Hängmattan Kök & Bar

Hängmattan is a vegetarian restaurant, bar and stage within Musikens Hus, an independent music and cultural centre in Majorna, with its own entrance on Karljohansgatan 16. They serve a popular lunch buffet and host regular live music performances and other events in the cosy premises.

The atmosphere at Hängmattan ("The Hammock") is welcoming, with comfy seating areas which encourage long visits, whether you're here to enjoy a vegetarian lunch buffet or to hang out in the evening. As well as food and drink, Hängmattan provides entertainment including live music, DJs, stand-up comedians and other events.

The lunch buffet consists of vegetarian stews, veg lasagne, salads and soups and sauces and accompaniments such as beans, raw salads, hummous, olives, sauces and dips, bread and cheese are always included. There are also plenty of vegan and gluten-free alternatives. The evening menu is also vegetarian, with mainly organic ingredients.

The bar serves wine, alcohol-free options and a wide selection of beers, with regular guest ales. Sample microbrewed beers from the brewery right across the street from Hängmattan, Stigbergets Bryggeri. The evening menu includes dishes such as burritos, bowls, seitan schnitzel, hearty sandwiches and nacho plates.

Hängmattan has a sustainable philosophy and their solar panels provide 100% clean energy.
