What used to be a garage for the Swedish Wine and Spirits company has been transformed into Monopolet restaurant. Restaurateur Magnus Söderström and his team serve streetfood-influenced food and locally-produced beer in rustic premises. They aim to create Gothenburg's very own Meatpacking District.

Huge industrial windows, exposed brick walls, tiles and pipework, mixed with modern velvet sofas, bistro chairs and plants, set the tone. Take a seat and tuck into an entire tasting menu consisting of streetfood-influenced dishes with flavours from all over the world, or just order a few individual dishes.

If you're not that peckish, just drop by for a glass of wine and something small to nibble on. The bar focuses on locally-produced beers, along with wine and bubbles. They also offer an after-work pintxos menu with Swedish and southern European flavours. During the summer months you can drink cava and enjoy pintxos al fresco in their inner courtyard.
