The cosy Säve station building in Hisingen is now home to Station Säve lunch restaurant and country store. Eat classic lunch dishes and buy foodie treats to give as gifts.
After a renovation of the old station house, Station Säve opened its doors in December 2024. Old-fashioned wallpaper, vintage lamps and wooden furniture set the tone in the historic environment of the brick house. They serve classic lunch dishes, such as braised ox cheek and beef à la Lindström, and from time to time you'll also find freshly baked waffles with jam and cream on the menu. If you're craving something sweet for a coffee break, the restaurant has its own baker who bakes cakes and buns, including semlor Lenten buns when they're in season.
In the country store, you can also shop for small treats for yourself or to give as gifts. Explore the range of sweets, honey, coffee, candles and much more. Among other things, they sell the popular, locally produced soda that's served in several flavours in the restaurant. The country store has a classic style, just like the dining room.
