Gothenburg's historic Valandhuset has played host to countless parties since it was built in 1886. And although the Teatergatan restaurant has been stylishly modernised, it has managed to retain the building's original, glamorous spirit. Red velvet banquettes, French tiles and a gold and marble bar combine to create a feel of Twenties glamour and decadent parties.
Culinary influences come from all over the world, from main courses direct from the grill to French classics such as moules frites and steak tartare and fusion interpretations of clean Asian flavours. Teatergatan's proximity to the sea is also reflected in the menu, which includes oysters and shellfish platters. Drop by for a glass of fizz and some cheese and charcuterie or go all-in with a four course menu specially composed by the chef. Get your weekend off to a flying start with their great value post-work drinks on Wednesday to Friday evenings.

Renoverat och fräscht i restaurangen. Trevlig personal tog hand om oss och lät oss välja var vi kunde sitta. Viner på glas var begränsat, typ 4 vita och 6 röda, men de viner vi valde var bra.
Maten var väldigt god och vällagad, min fru åt Torsk jag...
