Don't think that the partying is just limited to our friends in Scotland though – plenty of venues in London are putting on special menus and lively events to help mark the occasion in style. We've got some great suggestions if you're keen to celebrate the occasion in the capital – get your kilt on, dust off the bagpipes, and take a look at this guide to Burns Night in London.

Cosmopolitan restaurant for Burns Night
RAILS at the Great Northern Hotel is hosting a straightforward Burns Night dinner for £30 per person. The three-course menu centres on haggis, neeps and tatties with a whisky sauce, followed by a traditional cranachan topped with cream and raspberries. It's a calm, polished option compared to some of the louder celebrations around town. If you fancy extending the evening, you can always book a room upstairs, making this a neat choice for anyone after a low-effort Burns Night in central London.

Prize-winning riverside pub
The Oyster Shed is back with another Burns Night supper built around Scottish classics with a modern edge. After a welcome dram, guests sit down to a four-course menu that nods to tradition without being overly strict. Once dinner's done, bagpipes signal the shift from eating to dancing, encouraging everyone to work off the feast. It's a lively but well-organised evening, combining solid cooking with just enough ceremony and movement to feel like a proper celebration rather than a standard set menu.

Stylish gastropub celebration
On King's Road, this Chelsea spot is hosting a Burns Night that blends classic Scottish fare with a polished party atmosphere. The four-course menu includes hot-smoked salmon on tattie scones, Highland wagyu beef, and the essential haggis with neeps and tatties. Tickets include a whisky cocktail and a dram, thanks to a partnership with The Singleton. There's also live bagpipes and a poetry recital, giving the night structure without tipping into full pageantry.

Canary Wharf fun
Boisdale of Canary Wharf is stretching Burns Night into a full Burns Week, with multiple evenings of live music from Frank & Dean. Each night includes the familiar ceremonial touches, from a piper-led procession to the address to the haggis. The special menu covers smoked salmon, cullen skink, haggis and a classic cranachan to finish. It's theatrical, busy and well-suited to groups, especially if you want Burns traditions delivered with a side of cabaret-style entertainment.

Food, drinks, dancing
Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings is turning Burns Night into a dressed-up affair inside its Clerkenwell townhouse. Across two nights, expect whisky cocktails, a multi-course supper and ceilidh dancing in atmospheric surroundings. There's the full run of traditions: Selkirk Grace, piped-in haggis, speeches, toasts and live music, all leading into dancing and Auld Lang Syne. You can opt for drink pairings with each course, making this one for those who enjoy ceremony, structure and a slightly more formal celebration.

Barnes Burns Night
OSO's Burns Night celebration opens with bagpipes before moving into a two-course supper, poetry readings and a proper ceilidh. A caller talks everyone through the steps, so no prior dance experience is needed. Whisky flows freely during the toasts, and tartan is very much encouraged. Vegetarian and vegan options are available, and the whole evening is designed to keep things upbeat and sociable rather than stiff. It's a good pick if you want dinner, dancing and tradition wrapped into one ticket.

Quintessentially Scottish
The Wolseley and The Wolseley City are marking Burns Night with a refined Scottish menu that keeps things classic. Dinner starts with cullen skink, followed by haggis, neeps and tatties finished with a whisky cream sauce, and ends with a neatly executed cranachan. A bespoke cocktail list riffs on Burns and Scotch whisky, while live bagpipes from the London Scottish Pipes and Drums provide a ceremonial welcome. It's elegant and measured, fitting neatly into the Wolseley's grand, old-school setting.

All things Scottish
The Blue Stoops is handing the stoves to Hector Henderson of Rochelle Canteen for Burns Night, with Jake Farley involved too. The menu takes a thoughtful, ingredient-led approach to Scottish classics, with a few playful touches along the way. While there's plenty to get excited about, the deep-fried Mars Bar is likely to steal the attention. This is one for people who care about who's cooking as much as what's being served, and want Burns Night done with personality rather than spectacle.

Plush Burns supper vibes
Julie's does Burns Night the way you'd expect from a West London stalwart: plush room, fancy service, and a menu that sticks close to tradition while having a bit of fun. Expect haggis scotch eggs, lamb belly, and langoustines paired with black pudding, followed by the full haggis-neeps-and-tatties treatment. Dessert is a proper clootie dumpling with whisky ice cream. Drinks skew Scottish, with good whiskies, smart wines and even an Irn Bru daiquiri, plus bagpipes to set the scene.

Pizza with a Scottish twist
Ria's Pizza is giving Burns Night the full filthy treatment across Soho and Notting Hill. The Scottish set menu kicks off with haggis pops before moving on to a haggis, neeps and tatties pizza that does exactly what it says on the tin. Dessert is unapologetic: deep-fried Mars bars and Irn Bru ice cream from Big Kid. Whiskey cocktails are on hand to wash it all down, making this one for anyone who likes their Burns celebrations loud, messy and carb-heavy.

Gladwin brothers go north
The Gladwin brothers take a break from West Sussex farm fare to put on a Burns Night menu at Sussex in Soho. There's haggis, cranachan and whisky cocktails, plus a live piper and a bit of ceilidh action if you're up for it. Starters are more playful, with things like mushroom Marmite éclairs setting the tone. If you want something simpler, sister restaurants The Shed and The Pig's Ear are serving a straightforward plate of haggis, neeps and tatties without the full song and dance.

Double Galvin celebrations
The Galvin brothers are marking Burns Night across their restaurants with menus ranging from modest to grand. La Chapelle is the full fine-dining affair, with luxe dishes like gin-cured salmon and lamb with haggis, plus pipers and poetry, while Galvin Bistrot & Bar offers a more relaxed bistro-style supper. Prices range accordingly, but all three promise an elegant but traditional take on the night.

Hackney dance marathon
Cut A Shine's Burns Night celebrations take over the Round Chapel for four nights of non-stop ceilidh dancing. The Hackney-based band knows how to keep the floor moving, with a friendly caller guiding everyone through the steps. There's a food stall serving traditional Scottish dishes (pre-ordering is essential) and a dedicated whisky bar for a bit of pre-dance courage. This one's very much about the dancing rather than a sit-down meal, so expect sore legs, a sweaty room and a great atmosphere.

The table is yours for the evening, so you can take your time.
