Around the corner from Old Spitalfields Market, you’ll stumble across Xi’an Biang Biang Noodles, a hand-pulled noodle restaurant that brings the fiery flavours of the Shaanxi Province in northwestern China to the streets of London.

The canteen-style place is bright and spacious and has giant Chinese illustrations pasted all over the walls. As for the menu, you can expect dishes like jellyfish in chilli oil, sweet potato noodles in hot and sour soup, and slippery black fungus served with handfuls of coriander (these are a must-order). The real reason people really flock here though is for the noodles - from handmade belt noodles and hand-pulled thin noodles to rice flour noodles - there’s something to suit every palette. The Biang Biang noodles with beef in a special sauce is their most iconic dish, think melt-in-your-mouth beef with chewy belt noodles soaked in fiery chilli oil. They’re hard to beat.

This is the sort of place that will have you coming back time and time again. It's hard to satisfy the craving for these ribbon noodles anywhere else in London, especially when the standard is already so high here.

    You can never go wrong with a visit to Xi'an Biang Biang, the hand-pulled noodles are just amazing.

    This place makes me want to move to London, just so I could enjoy their hand pulled noodles on a regular basis. Even though many of their signature dishes are quite “simple”, the handcraft makes it an absolute divine experience.

    awesome noodle bar with delicious hand pulled noodles. super affordable and great atmosphere. The cucumber salad was a revelation. I will def come back soon

    Best noodles in London. Hand-pulled ones are my fav with the beef!
