Had booked a table on a Saturday evening with my parents who were visiting. We have previously visited Elio's sister restaurants as there has been both good food and good service. When we arrived, it took a long time before anyone even had time to greet us or greet us, even though there were waitresses available. For the starter, they forgot to give us cutlery for the starter, good starter anyway. We then each ordered an entrecote, but we were not asked how we wanted the meat, which we thought was a bit strange. When we got the main course, a large bowl of potatoes with goat cheese was served without serving cutlery, so we had to ask for that to even be able to portion out the potatoes with the sauce on our plates. The food was very good, can't complain about it. But we were shocked that the meat was red, as my parents don't eat red meat and have never been served that way without warning before. Nor did the waitress come and ask if everything was fine and how the food tasted. When she went to pick up the plates, I pointed out that we would have liked her to ask how we wanted the meat since my parents don't eat red meat, and wished that she had asked us how the food tasted. Her answer was "okay" and she walked away annoyed without apologizing or asking if we wanted a refill or dessert. Took at least 20 minutes before she came back, and you can guess that we didn't want to order anything more, which we had planned from the beginning.
My parents said "We'll never go here again, as there are plenty of good eateries in Gothenburg with normal service", can't help but agree with :)
