On Hvitfeldtsgatan, Sway is a cocktail bar with a focus on seasonal and carefully composed cocktails. The bar revolves around a postmodern idea, with the aim of offering a completely new bar experience.
Behind the bar is a duo with extensive experience from Gothenburg's bar scene - experience they've used to create their own particular brand of cocktail bar. The drinks menu is based on the season, with each drink carefully composed with both new techniques and familiar flavours. They also shake and stir up classic drinks. The team work hard behind the scenes with development and preparation, which you'll notice in the details when the drink lands in front of you. Snacks such as olives, nuts and caviar are served with drinks.
The venue was designed by the founders themselves, with earthy colours, a large stainless steel bar, designer furniture and an open feel where you can sit back and enjoy a good drink. There are often drop-in places, but on the weekend it may be a good idea to book a table to be sure to bag a seat.
