Glamping in Gothenburg

If travelling around 70km from Gothenburg isn't a problem, Anfasteröd Gårdsvik, in the heart of Bohuslän, is well worth a detour. This summer idyll offers glamping in comfortable safari tents surrounded by nature. Some tents are set up on a rock overlooking the sea, others in leafy woodland. The tents are equipped with a bathroom, kitchen, heating and comfy beds. Enjoy the sounds of birdsong through the tent walls. Camping doesn't get much more glamorous than this.

The Tannery Club organises a whole range of outdoor and fitness events at its club location in Floda. On the roof, they've set up glamping tents with beautiful views over the Säveån river and the leafy surroundings, with access to a shared shower and toilet. You can order breakfast when making a booking, and a ten-minute walk from the Tannery Club there are several restaurants.

In a clearing in the blueberry forests of Lerum, Vide Natur's Forest Room has a private tent for overnight stays. The tent is equipped with furniture, bedding, and equipment to cook and eat, including drinking water and a camping stove. In the Forest Room, there is also a fire pit, firewood, and an outdoor toilet. Look out for moose, settle by the small forest lake and watch the osprey dive for fish, or just listen to the peaceful song of the great northern diver.

They offer two different types of accommodation: simple tree tents with a view of Lake Mjörn in Hjällsnäs, and their tipi tent, which is a glamping tent. It's furnished with benches, a fire pit, a pantry, and a place to do the dishes. Close to the tent, there's also a forest toilet decorated with fairy lights for extra cosiness.
