You'll find a little piece of Germany on Viktoriagatan, in the form of a cosy beer hall called Prost Bierhalle & Wirtshaus. Drink really cold beer from kegs, eat hearty Bavarian food and challenge your pals to a game of darts.
At Prost, the German theme runs like a common thread through the menu and atmosphere. The place is decorated just like a classic beer hall with long wooden tables, chandeliers and paintings with motifs from the German Alps, and, as the icing on the cake, you're served by staff in traditional Tyrolean clothes. The idea is that you should be able to come here for long evenings in the company of good friends, perhaps with a turn or two at the dartboard.
The menu consists of rustic Bavarian dishes in both slightly smaller and larger formats, with sausage, schnitzel and sauerkraut obvious elements. Vegetarian options are also offered. If you have room in your stomach, you can have a full three-course meal with a starter, main course and dessert, but you can just as easily order a couple of snacks to accompany your drinks.
The bar boasts an extraordinary range of drinks, not least when it comes to beer, which in true German style is served in frozen steins. The range includes hard-to-find German classics, as well as guest beers that are changed out at regular intervals to make room for new, exciting bottles and cans. If you prefer something other than beer, you can choose from both wine and cocktails.
Prost also has a glassed-in outdoor terrace with plenty of space and generous views over the intersection of Viktoriagatan and Parkgatan.
