Grano is run by Chef of the Year winner Thomas Sjögren and his brother. They cook ambitious food in relaxed surroundings free from starched linen tablecloths and formal service. Come by for a glass of wine and a pizza, or a full dinner with several small plates.
This popular spot in the heart of Gothenburg opened its doors in 2018, 30 years after the owners' parents met at a hot dog stand in Granö in Norrland. Both the name and the rustic wooden interior hint at the forests of Norrland, but the flavours come mainly from Southern Europe. As well as Grano's popular posh pizzas, you can pick and choose from small plates, charcuterie, cheeses and snacks.
