Fabel is run by an experienced quintet who have worked at restaurants such as Ankarsmedjan Social at Klippan. Here on Vasaplatsen, you can quench your thirst and satisfy your hunger with classic dishes served in unpretentious surroundings.
Fabel carries on the legacy in the corner premises of Vasaplatsen 3, which has been a meeting point for over a hundred years. Guests are invited to a relaxed hangout with classics in the glass, on the plate and in the speakers, combined with new, fresh and youthful elements. The whole venue is in an updated local pub style, with green painted walls, red sofas and a yellow bar, and you can just as easily drop by come here for a drink as for a dinner - or why not both? A little later in the evening, the atmosphere cranks up a few notches with DJs and party vibes.
In terms of food, Fabel draws culinary influences mainly from the continent, with some Scandinavian elements. Start the evening with some oysters and continue with Toast Skagen, cod fillet and other popular dishes served in a classic way. A specialty is "Pommes Andersson", a fried potato cake topped with roe and crème fraiche. You can also sit down at the bar and start the weekend with a beer or round off the week with a G&T. In the summer, the restaurant opens up its outdoor seating where you can have something to eat or drink in the sun
