The Malt House Inn

A little piece of Britain has found its way to Gothenburg, in the form of a lively pub called The Malt House Inn. It offers a wide range of beers, warming comfort food and a friendly atmosphere.

Inspiration for The Malt House Inn comes from old-fashioned British inns, where guests could come to eat and drink well in homely surroundings. The interior is in a classic style with dark wood panels, patterned wallpaper, upholstered leather sofas and a substantial bar, where 35 types of beer – one for each day of the month, plus a few extra for those moments that require it – are served on tap. As well as beer, there's a wide selection of whiskey, wine and cocktails.

The menu consists of British comfort food, cooked from scratch with a lot of heart. Instead of fuss and unnecessary frills, simple and authentic is the order of the day. Choose from a variety of hearty main courses, slightly smaller snacks and starters, as well as selected items served with your choice of sides. If you're curious about what meat is being served that day, just ask the staff. Just make sure to save some room for something sweet from the dessert menu, which lists classics like sticky toffee pudding and Eton mess.
