London is packed with poetry and spoken word events, open mics, and slams, and if that's the kind of thing you're into, there's a festival running throughout June at Camden's Roundhouse that you'll want to hear about. The Last Word Festival takes place at the venue between 6th and 30th June, packing in a huge variety of workshops, performances, and events that are sure to excite wordsmiths in the capital.
This is the 11th iteration of the festival and it's full of interesting events, including some sessions that take place online so anyone can participate. From discussions and film screenings to performances and readings, poetry workshops, and interactive sessions, there's something for everyone to get involved with here.
Added to all that, the festival kicks off with the final round of The Roundhouse Poetry Slam, which has been running since 2006 and sees 11 finalists competing for a cash prize and the prestigious title of being the winner. Details of all the events going on at the festival, and links to get tickets for each event, are available on the Roundhouse website.
