Drinks, music, dancing, your friends – they're all important parts of a great night out. But let's be honest, many of us also secretly enjoy reading the toilet graffiti on the back of the door when all those pints or cocktails have finally got the better of you. If that sounds familiar, a new exhibition is coming to East London in January that you are going to love.

Taking place at pop-up events venue and meanwhile space 133 Bethnal Green Road, “Sh!t Show” is a new exhibition by guerilla artist Karma Khazi. To put the show together, the artist went on a tour of 250 London pubs over five days to photograph some of the most fascinating bits inside the cubicles. These photographs then served as inspiration for nearly 100 pieces of original artwork, as well as a special soundtrack and a short film about the whole project.

The artist himself considers the work as celebrating “the final frontier of free speech.” And if you're a secret toilet scrawler yourself, you won't be disappointed – visitors to the exhibition are encouraged to grab a pen and add their own toilet thoughts and drawings to the space.

The exhibition is free to attend and will run for just three days between 26th and 28th January. After that it'll be moving on to Paris, with the plan being to bring the exhibition to other countries after that. Learn more on Karma Khazi's website.
