The Fitzrovia branch of the popular Bao chain is distinguished by a U-shaped wooden bar, as well as its regular collaborations with renowned cocktail bars in London, for example Satan’s Whiskers or Happiness Forgets. The restaurant is now again taking its collabs to an international level and making full use of its elegant bar, as it will be hosting bartenders from some of the most creative cocktail bars in the world with its U-Bartend experience.
On 13 September, the first of three U-Bartend nights at Bao Fitz will feature Kaito del Valle, all the from Mexico City. This izakaya-style bar is considered to be one of the best in North America and crafts Japanese-influenced cocktails with a focus on sake and highballs.
Next up, on 18 October, Lucy’s Flower Shop from Sweden. Hidden behind a florist in Stockholm, this colourful bar mixes simple, well-crafted original cocktails, as well as updating popular classics with its own twists.
Finally, on 13 November, Drink Kong will present their award-winning concoctions, specially developed in a high-tech laboratory. The Blade Runner-themed bar can be found in the centre of Rome.
All nights will include tasty Bao delicacies, of course. Capacity for these experiences at Bao Fitz is limited, so best head to their website and book in advance to secure your spot.
