Be part of a Guinness World Record attempt with Sky Arts

In celebration of 10 years of Portrait Artist of the Year, Sky Arts and Sir Lenny Henry are joining forces in a record-breaking portrait painting event where you can help Sky Arts to set a new Guinness World Record title.

On 30th September at Lindley Hall in central London, artists of any age and level of experience can join in to paint their own portrait of Sir Lenny Henry and help set an official Guinness World Record title for the most people painting online and in a single venue simultaneously. This event is open to all budding artists, Portrait Artist of the Year fans, and anyone who fancies giving it a go, whether you've been painting for years or have yet to pick up a brush. It's completely free and open to all ages and abilities. Children must be aged over seven and have permission from their parent or carer.

All art materials will be provided and the event will also be live-streamed so you can paint along from anywhere in the world. Sign up for a ticket and Sky Arts will contact you by 22nd September to confirm your place.
