The annual BFI London Film Festival is a premier film festival that showcases a wide selection of films and hosts some of the industry's biggest stars.
First held in 1957, this prominent UK festival takes place across several London venues in October. Its programme includes more than 240 feature films and 150 short films from 70 countries, along with discussions, workshops, talks, and all sorts of other events for all ages and backgrounds.
Festival screenings this year include the premieres of some of the most heavily anticipated films this year, including a LEGO animation by Morgan Neville, Steve McQueen's visually dazzling tour de force, a documentary on Sir Elton John by R.J Cutler and David Furnish, alongside lesser-known but no less fascinating works by talented auteurs. A dedicated programme of free events is also on offer.
