Head to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on 19th August for a big celebration – it's UK Black Pride. This annual event is a celebration of African, Asian, Middle Eastern, Latin American and Caribbean-heritage LGBTQI+ people. The main event is free to attend and there's no need to book a ticket, but you'll need to book for the afterparty in Dalston in the evening.

At the event there are loads of ways to get involved and have fun. Expect DJ sets all day, a community stage with discussions and workshops, community stalls, speeches, music, and performances. There's also a family area with fun activities for the kids plus food vendors dishing up a diverse array of tasty cuisines and two 30 metre-long bars for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Whether you're just dropping by or you want to join the party all day, there's plenty to occupy you at this inclusive event.
