Check out all the talented chefs popping up at Carousel in October

Fitzrovia wine bar and kitchen Carousel is known for hosting some of the most exciting culinary talent in the world week in, week out. Its October line-up features chefs from as far away as Mexico City, as well as the welcome return of one of England's own from Gloucestershire. Read on below for an overview of who, when, and what.

George McLeod (3–7 October)

Formerly a member of the Carousel team, chef George McLeod and his partner Lara Espirito Santo are now behind one of the hottest contemporary restaurants in Lisbon. At Sem, they serve progressive tasting menus that highlight a commitment to seasonality and sustainability. McLeod will bring this mindset to Carousel, serving a tasting menu with dishes such as Crayfish x Rose x Koji or Deer Loin x Wild Berries X Onion.

Romy Gill (10–14 October)

Chef, author, and broadcaster Romy Gill's eagerly anticipated return to Carousel promises another go at her crowd-pleasing Indian food, inspired by her travels around India and built around seasonal British produce. Expect the Gloucestershire chef's seven-course menu to feature old favourites such as the critically acclaimed Samosa Chaat, as well as new recipes from her forthcoming book.

Alonso Madrigal (17–21 October) 

A heavy hitter from Mexico City, Alonso Madrigal is a veteran chef who has worked with the likes of René Redzepi and Elena Reygadas. His debut restaurant Malix in Mexico City was an immediate smash hit when it opened in 2021, taking local ingredients and traditions and updating them with influences from around the globe. Dishes such as Squash Tamal, XO, Watercress and Duck, Malix Mole, Beetroot promises a bold culinary experience.

Sahin Erdal (24–28 October)

Chef Sahin Erdal made a name for himself in Malmö, where his Turkish restaurant Aster achieved the heights of popularity, in part also due to his exceptional dolma. Currently based in Paris, he'll be bringing open-fire Turkish cuisine, spiced up with flavours and inspirations from his globe-spanning travels, to Carousel. Signature dolma included, of course.
