Saturday 16th September marks the return of the Emerge East festival at Barking Riverside. Back for a second year after its successful debut in 2022, this free festival will host a range of activities, taking visitors on a journey of discovery through this emerging East London district.
From 10am until 7pm, visitors can explore a variety of pop-ups, from tasting home-cooked dishes prepared by Barking Riverside residents to browsing independent food and craft traders. Visitors to the event can also venture along a new Wellbeing and Wildlife Trail. Added to that, there will be music from UD DJ Collective, live poetry, a pop-up sauna, and creative workshops that take nature as inspiration. All of the event activities are free to get involved with.
