Tongue-twisting titles aside, the acclaimed chef, who's been keeping a low profile since the closure of Le Café Anglais in 2014, will be taking over Laylow's kitchen for several months.
Leigh is a well-know British chef whose credentials include Le Gavroche, Le Poulbut, and Kensington Place. He'll be bringing his famed Italian bistro fare to Laylow, Notting Hill's sophisticated restaurant, live music venue, and members' club, under the name Chez Rowley, serving dinner as well as Sunday lunch. During the three-month residency, he'll be serving an evolving menu of comforting, nostalgic dishes, highlighted by the Poulet Antiboise, a whole roast chicken with anchovies, black olives, garlic, onion, thyme, and white wine, served with hispi cabbage and pangrattato.
Rowley Leigh will be at Laylow from 13 September to 22 December. Bookings are open via the Chez Rowley website here.
