An acclaimed annual competition, the Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize aims to highlight rising talent in the field of contemporary photography. Both amateurs and professionals can compete for the coveted award.

In its 17th year, the Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize showcases talented young photographers across a diverse range of images, ranging from formal commissioned portraits to spontaneous snaps.

The exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery also features works by Diana Markosian, this year's In Focus Photographer. Photographs from here series “Father” are shown alongside the main exhibition. In addition, visitors will be able to see a new work created for the Gallery's collection by last year's Taylor Wessing Prize winner Serena Brown.

The 2024 Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize is on display at the National Portrait Gallery from 14 November to 16 February. Find out more here.
