Enjoy a five-course meat extravaganza this April at Vivat Bacchus' South African Supper Club, Club Carnivore. Prepare your taste buds for a meat and wine pairing experience governed by three simple rules: red meat only, red wine only, and wine served exclusively in magnums or larger.
The special menu will be served on Friday, 19th April, at 6:30 p.m. in their Farringdon restaurant. You'll start with a Rainbow Nation staple: grilled ostrich with truffle and sesame oil, followed by a smoked duck breast salad with blueberry, gorgonzola, and rocket.
Next, enjoy the succulent beef fillet medallion accompanied by clotted cream mashed potato, girolles, and jus. The star of the show is the 28-day, dry-aged Surrey Hills steak, made for sharing between two and served alongside triple-cooked chips and a selection of sauces.
Finish your feast with a seasonal cheese board straight from Vivat Bacchus' cheese room, served with biltong, fresh and dried fruit, chutney, and crackers. As for the wine selection, rest assured, you're in expert hands. Vivat Bacchus boasts the largest South African wine list in London, curated by knowledgeable sommeliers. Among the offerings are the bold Meerlust 2016 Rubicon and the luscious Rainbow's End 2020 Merlot, both hailing from Stellenbosch.
Unleash your inner carnivore this April and indulge in an evening of unbeatable South African food and wine for £95 per person.
