Project Altar is offering the opportunity to celebrate the lives of lost loved ones with an illuminated art trail featuring memorial shrines at Abney Park Cemetery in Stoke Newington.

The trail will showcase over 1,000 photos, stories, and tributes from contributors across London in a heartfelt installation set against the backdrop of a picturesque Victorian woodland cemetery. The trail is free to enter during the day, with limited ticket options available after dark, offering the rare opportunity to visit the cemetery when it's usually closed. There will also be family-friendly activists throughout the half-term to keep the kids entertained.

If you'd like to include a photo of your loved one, you can send your photos in advance or use the printing station available at the event.

The event runs from 31 October to 3 November and is London's first art trail of memorial shrines.
