London is brimming with great places to get plant-based food, including vegan incarnations of dishes like pizza, burgers, and fish and chips. Animal protection charity PETA has put together a new list of the best places to get vegan fish and chips up and down the country and London has come in strong, with four venues entering the list.
The ratings are described as being in no particular order but first on the list is Brockley's Rock, a popular chippy in South London that offers vegan fish and sausages, as well as dishes for vegetarian diners. Next is The Dove, a cosy pub in Broadway Market that offers an extensive food menu with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, including its battered vegan fish made from tofu and nori.
Next is Unity Diner, owned by activist Earthling Ed and serving a wide variety of vegan diner classics. The fish and chips here are particularly popular and can also be made gluten-free. The final London venue to make the cut was Sutton & Sons, a place renowned for its vegan chippy menu providing a host of options for plant-based eaters.
