The humble kebab shop has long been a staple of the local high street but if you're looking for some upscale kebabs to tickle your tastebuds, London is about to get an exciting new place to eat. Döner Shack, which already runs successful sites in locations like Leeds and Manchester, will be opening in Baker Street on 27th March, bringing their much-loved Turkish-German kebabs to London for the first time.
For many of us, the kebab is something to drunkenly munch on after a big night out but Döner Shack is all about changing those perceptions – in fact, the shops close at a respectable time in the evening. Expect fresh ingredients, lean meats, and options for vegan and gluten-free diners too. Added to that, all of the meat is halal-friendly.
The Baker Street restaurant will be set over two floors and include innovative robotic kebab cutters and travelators to deliver food to customers in the restaurant. There are more than 15 signature dishes on the menu as well as indulgent milkshakes in numerous flavours. As part of the launch, between 27th and 31st March at 12-2pm each day, you can grab a free kebab with no strings attached. All you need to do to claim yours is register online. The restaurant group aims to open 10 new sites this year, and with the first London restaurant poised to open you might start to see a lot more of Döner Shack in the coming months.
