Tucked away in a railway arch in Leyton, Decatur is known for its decadent Southern American seafood boil delivery, as well as for taking advantage of the summer weather to throw immensely popular Arch Parties, where they serve their authentic delicacies straight from the kitchen. This Saturday, they're mixing things up a bit by focusing on the most important meal of the day.
For their Breakfast Arch Party this Saturday, Decatur are teaming up with the female-owned Guatemalan coffee roastery Rascal Coffee, which is based in Hackney. Rascal Coffee are providing the hot batch brew and cold brew potions, while Decatur will focus on what they do best – indulgent food straight from the streets of NOLA. You'll be able to start your day with crawfish etouffee or gravy smothered biscuits, boudin sausage, and bacon & egg & cheese biscuits, and round things off with authentic fried beignets based on those served at the legendary Café Du Monde in New Orleans. Between the speciality coffee and hefty food, any Friday hangovers don't stand a chance.
The Decatur x Rascal Coffee Breakfast Arch Party will take place from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 22 June, operating on a first come, first served basis. Past arch parties here have seen lengthy queues, so best get down there early.
